GUESTS BEWARE - SLUMLORD OPERATOR IN DETROIT Positive: Nothing. This was officially the worst property I have ever stayed in. It is a disgrace that such a dangerous property & host should be allowed to be on booking.com. Negative: Here is the full list: - Neighbor's fire alarm went off shortly after I arrived for about 30 minutes. - There was no fire escape or fire notice on walls to say how to safely exit. This is illegal. - My fire alarm went off due to steam from shower. The host did nothing. Instead they blamed me for tampering with it & were verbally abusive when they called me. - Air conditioning unit pipe came loose on its own meaning carbon dioxide & warm air was blowing in the room. This could've killed me. Another illegal thing I found. - The ceiling vent in bathroom came loose on its own. Instead of offering to fix it, they blamed me for tampering with it. - They have a post-it note on the wifi router saying if you unplug it, you get a $400 fine. This is a total slumlord trap. - do NOT stay here & report this owner to the City of Detroit so other guests do not have to go through this nightmare.

Positive: L'appartamento in quale siamo stati è praticamente nuovo. Abbiamo apprezzato la presenza della lavatrice e l'asciugatrice. Negative: L'appartamento che ci è stato assegnato era al secondo piano, raggiungibile tramite scale ripidissime. È molto distante dal centro ed è necessario prendere la macchina o l'autobus: non è possibile raggiungerlo a piedi. Inoltre, l'aria condizionata era molto rumorosa e non c'era modo di regolarla o spegnerla.

Newly renovated apartment in a stately old house; quiet and comfortable. Positive: The apartment is newly renovated and attractively decorated. The area is quiet, and the bedroom was comfortable and air-conditioned. Negative: Location was less than ideal, but we used Lyft to get around and it was close to our meeting destinations. The apartment would benefit from a few small additions: coat hangers, can opener, some serving bowls, as there are no restaurants in the area, we cooked our food.

Positive: Very clean, modern, and comfortable. A nice layout, good use of space. The hostal was very friendly and attentive. Negative: Having to climb many stairs. It is not handicap accesible. The neighborhood felt a bit risky at night.

I found a place to lounge comfortably with a great location and access to city. Positive: Cozy spot beautiful brick structure nice block in the neighborhood good see the other house next to the property made me feel like I was in a good spot aesthetically. Feel safer seeing occupied homes. Negative: A lot of head hazards if you’re a taller person parking could be leveled and stomp removed or sign notifying it. Locked door behind couch.
