It was fine. Positive: Comfortable, functional and affordable. Negative: Communication on Booking.com was delayed.

Odd behavior from property manager when there was an issue with the property Positive: Unit was as pictured and it was clean. There are sticky mouse / cockroach traps around the unit. Negative: The place itself is fine but if you end up having an issue with the property, I hope it goes better than my experience. Obia, the property manager, got weird and a bit hostile when I wanted to discuss the cigarette smoke that kept filling the unit. Things happen in multi unit properties but it was a strange reaction when inquiring about an issue with the stay to find a reasonable solution that worked for both parties. Nobody ever came to the unit I was in to verify the issue by simply smelling it. Just don’t expect much in the way of a reasonable customer service response if something isn’t right with this property. Thankfully Booking.com made it right and refunded me because of the issue. Also of note, you will be required to send a photo of your gov issued ID via text to the property manager’s phone to access the unit. That is definitely not a safe way to collect or store sensitive information.

Positive: The place is secured and clean The building is old but renovated. The owner is helpful and respectful There is a parking slot in the backyard of the building There is a camera in the front of the building and in-front of the studio controlled by the owner for safety. Negative: The neighborhood is a little dark and creepy at night. Couple of empty hunted buildings around. It is an attic room in the second floor and the door opens to more stairs to the studio. So consider carrying the luggage all the way up.
